**What you should know about Super Austenitic Stainless Steel: 
Super Austenitic Stainless Steel is a very high alloy Stainless Steel. In addition to a high Chromium, Nickel, and Molybdenum content, it is strengthened with Nitrogen. The additional alloying elements, most importantly, the elevated Molybdenum content, increase the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. The added elements are augmented with Nitrogen and increase the yield strength and the surface hardness. As a result, the material has corrosion resistance superior to 316, 316L, 317 and 317L. The yield strength is roughly double that a conventional 300-Series Stainless Steels. It is used extensively in the marine, offshore, petroleum, petrochemical, and nuclear industries.
